Hey, I’m Alex.

I love photos.

Capturing candid moments, freezing moments in time, documenting life’s milestones. That’s what I’m all about. For the past several years, I’ve documented everything from weddings to small businesses to national basketball championships and travel photography. Sounds like a mix right? Well, I’ve been lucky because I’ve learned so many different styles of photography, and now I get to combine what I’ve learned into creating photos that celebrate authenticity, light and people being, well, people.

Photography has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t my first line of work. I started off working different labour jobs, saving up for travel and education. 18 countries and a degree in geography later, here I am. I spent my professional years as a researcher and analyst, working along NGO’s abroad, government branches, and universities conducting environmental research and trying to finding ways that I can help my own community.

Not being good at sitting at a desk all day, I’m now working with community in a new way- from behind my camera. I believe deeply in storytelling, and I believe that we all have stories that are worth being told and remembered. From backyard weddings to ocean cleanups to documenting how coffee beans are roasted, my goal is to help amplify your voice and record your own story.
